James White
Photographer
I’ve spent years developing my skills and creativity as a photographer, from what started as a hobby and a way to capture memories from travelling in 2008, to when I first took the plunge and became a full-time professional photographer back in 2016. To be honest, even after all this time I still can’t believe this is actually my job!
I have a real passion for photography, and strive to learn and push myself creatively at every opportunity. Attending conferences and workshops as part of communities like Nine Dots and This is Reportage keeps my skills fresh, ensuring I stay in touch with the latest developments in the industry (and some awesome people too!).
Where am I?
I live in Bedhampton, and work locally as a Hampshire wedding photographer, but I’ll also happily travel to capture weddings throughout the whole of the UK. In fact, seeing venues all over the country is something I really look forward to.
Why weddings?
I love the constantly changing environment, meeting people, and being immersed in the emotions of a wedding day. I get to enjoy being creative with my camera, whilst also seeing people have a great time celebrating together.

Outside of work
When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll find me spending time with my fiancé, Faye, getting involved in some home interior design, enjoying sports (football and F1 mainly!), and relaxing for a bit of family time.
Faye and I like looking for AirBnB gems for the occasional short break here and there – we’ve found some great ones!
Family is really important to me, and that’s another reason I love photographing weddings, because I know how precious those photos of your family and friends can be.
I feel hugely honoured to be able to capture those memories for people, and be part of their wedding day.
James was an absolute pleasure to work with from day 1, was always there to help with any questions we had and has given us the most amazing wedding photographs we could’ve wished for!
