2018
It’s that time for me to create my annual best of the year post. ?Each year seems to come round sooner! Next year will see me heading up and down the country again to capture those special moments, and also for the first time I’ll be heading out to Santorini for a wedding. Although I still have a couple of winter weddings to shoot this year I thought now was a great opportunity to reflect back on the crazy year I’ve just had. My 2017 best of resulted in 150 photographs, I’ve just about managed to get this year down to 150 of my favorites.
Wedding Photography Awards
07.07.18 the day England reached the World Cup semi-final for the first time since Italia 90, oh and also my first TiR award! This past summer I decided to enter a couple of awards – ones that I felt strongly about that had some of the worlds best wedding photographers in. I’m very proud to have won five so far this year from the amazing NineDots team and one from the very inspirational This is Reportage from collection five. I was also asked to write a piece for the TiR?This Is How which you can read all about here.
Special Thanks
To all of the amazing couples that have invited me into their wedding, it’s a massive honor?and I?feel extremely?privileged.?I’ve met some amazing people and built up some brilliant relationships. I even had one groom handcraft me a small bedside table, as a thank you, it makes me so happy to be able to call many of my previous bride and grooms as friends.
Amongst my regular?venues, I’ve had the pleasure to shoot at some amazing new venues as well like the wonderful Deans Court?and a few in London.? 2018 will always be remembered for the crazy hot summer which we had but we also had a few downpours! I’m often asked ‘What happens when it rains on my wedding day’? And my response?is ‘you just carry on and have the time of your life’ as you can see from a few photos below, rain can make for some amazing wedding photos.?To all of my future 2019 couples? I really can’t wait!
2019, you’ve got a lot to live up to!
These are wonderful memory making moments captured in a sensitive way. Beautiful, thank you.
