I had a very enjoyable visit to The Artisan Bakehouse on Saturday to document two big birthdays and to also squeeze in a pre-wedding shoot for Georgia & Tristan who are getting married in just over a year which I’m really looking forward to covering.
The Artisan Bakehouse?is situated in Steyning, West Sussex and it provided the perfect location for the days event. All of the guests were very welcoming as too were the staff who cooked up a treat for everyone?me included!
I would just like to wish Gina & Iris a big happy birthday, I hope you both enjoyed the day and I’ll be seeing you all at the wedding!
Anna?Isabelle?Miles – Having attended a wedding recently where James was the photographer and noticing how totally professional he was as well as being wowed at the wonderful moments he captured it was a no brainer that I would ask him to take photographs at a party I was hosting with my brother and sister to celebrate our Mum’s 60th and our Granny’s 90th birthdays .
We wanted James to take photos of natural moments throughout the day. He totally surpassed our expectations and delivered a collection of photographs that we will cherish for ever. Every time I look at them I smile. James was super efficient at preparing the photographs for our perusal and we look forward to him being the photographer at the wedding of my sister next year.
Many thanks on fitting in so naturally to the events of the day and having the instinct to direct the camera to moments of magic between people that would have otherwise been missed.
I would recommend James to anyone wanting their special occasion recorded in a natural and personal way.
Georgie?Swift – Hi James – I have now had the chance to go through all the photos. I have to say that the more I look at that beautfiul black and whilte photo of Will and my mum the more I think you should put that into a competition of some sort! The detail of mum’s face with all the cracks and crannies and Will’s youthful face is stunning but also the expressions on their faces – sort of conspiratorial but humorous – is quite brilliant. It is the kind of photo that will live on well beyond her and me – hanging on family walls all over the country. You have a true talent of capturing moments. Of course I love all the others too – there is another one of Anna, Granny and Isla in b&w where Anna is hugging Granny with Isla squashed in between – brilliant. But you have also caputured my friends and their personalities – some all gushing and loud and some more relective. Another favourite is my best friend sitting on a step talking to my parents. It;s going to be tough to chose – I am going to order some via your website as I want to have high quality prints – but it will take me a while to chose. So huge thanks and see you next year for the new big Swift family event.
