Tournerbury Woods Wedding Photography – Jodie & Steve

July 26, 2017

Yes, it’s been a while since I last blogged. I’ve got so many beautiful?weddings to share with you! This year has been fantastic, my best one yet and I’m only halfway through. The last time I set foot at Tournerbury Woods as a wedding photographer was just over 2 years ago for my sister’s wedding. This wedding had a lot to live up to and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Here are just a few of my favourite photos from Jodie?s and Steve’s special day, photographed in a natural documentary style.

Preparations for the wedding

The bridal prep started off at the cottage, which is on-site, sleeps eight and provides a great atmosphere. When Jodie originally got in contact wanting a woodland theme for her wedding I knew she had chosen well with?Tournerbury Woods. Included in the day was a fantastic?Krispy Kreme doughnut wedding cake. I can’t believe this was my first time seeing one of these-tasted very yummy! The weather was just perfect and the sun even came out just as the newly weds walked back down the isle as the new Mr and Mrs Rose!

Documentary photography at Tournerbury Woods

Keeping in tradition with the day Jodie rocked up on the back of a tractor with her father ready to meet Steve down the isle.?As a Tournerbury Woods Wedding Photographer, I knew the location very well, shortly after the service we dashed off to capture some of those gorgeous couple photographs.

Brilliant wedding reception at Hayling Island venue

Another first for me was the awesome wedding breakfast, complete with chefs hat and apron. Each table had extra large helpings of meat and trimmings provided by the super awesome The Fat Hog?. The speeches were hilarious, ending with a magic trick by one of the guests. The brilliant The Blue Juice Band?performed in the evening and had everyone dancing the night away. Shortly before the carriages Jodie and Steve wanted a sparkler run. Now having experience with this it can be quite tricky as guests tend to be worse for wear by that time! But never the less it worked out well!

If you love the outdoors, with plenty of woodlands and the sea right beside you, this is definitely?for you.?Congratulations again guys, thanks so much for having me.

Zoe Stratford (MOTB)? ‘James did my daughters wedding and was amazing. Took fab photos and just blended into the background but was so professional, can’t recommend him enough’

‘James, thanks to you my evenings are spent sharing your photos and everyone says they are stunning,?and to be honest when Jodie said she wanted just natural photos I wasn’t sure but wow ! Wow! Wow! Just wished you had been there for our wedding 30 years ago !!’
